Hartley & Dark Electric Limited was established in October 1963 as a service provider for the HVAC controls industry. Our aim was and remains today to provide an electrotechnical solution to support the controls manufacturers and system houses in building control. Today we continue to provide support and products to fill the missing link between the controls solution and the electrical interface to the mechanical plant.

The company prides itself in providing a safe, fair and comfortable working environment for all employees. Testament to this is our low staff turnover retaining a vast base of knowledge and experience. All our engineers and electricians are multi-disciplined and highly skilled allowing all works to be carried out in a thorough and professional manor. Many of our staff have been home grown through our apprenticeship program. This is ongoing and continues to provide the industry with valuable skills.

Our high standards in quality and safe working practice allow Hartley and dark to be accredited ECA, Chas and SSIP approved members. We provide continuous training to our staff to keep pace with the ever changing requirements of safety and electrical practice. We are extremely proud of our products, high standards and our safety record.

Our direct manufacturer buying route allows us to provide and install top quality products at wholesale prices. This provides us with a base to supply control panels and installation works to the highest quality and standard whilst maintaining a competitive pricing level.
Meet the Team
Andrew Hartley
Director
Andrew Hartley joined the industry in 1987 as an electrical apprentice. He Joined Hartley and Dark in 1992 working through all roles within the company until 2006 when he took over as company director.
Martin Davison
Engineering Director
Martin joined Hartley & Dark in 2003 as an apprentice showing great aptitude for design and engineering. After completing a successful apprenticeship and experiencing all roles within the company he now runs our design and workshop.
